Michelin-starred restaurant in Bonnieux: JU-Maison de Cuisine earns its first Michelin star

A star over Bonnieux
There are stars we hope for and others we carefully craft every step of the way.
And then there are those that simply appear one morning, in the heart of the Luberon, in a small hilltop village named Bonnieux, and which illuminate so much more than just a restaurant.
One year after opening JU - Maison de Cuisine, we were thrilled to be awarded our first Michelin star. However, this award does not belong to us alone: it is a reflection of our teamwork, our shared commitment to local, authentic, passion-driven cuisine and the strong bond we forge each and every day with our region.
Not just a restaurant but a culinary establishment
When we envisioned JU, we weren't just imagining a restaurant. We wanted a home, a living place that brings together ideas, people, flavours and seasons. A place where bread is kneaded every morning, where home-made cordials are infused and where wood scraps are collected to smoke vegetables or fish, rather than thrown away.
At JU, everything is carefully considered from our vegetables sourced from the Gastronomic Garden in Lourmarin, Ikejime trout from the village of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, lamb from La Roque d'Anthéron through to herbs from Lauris. Each product tells a story, and each dish, a tale.
This star belongs to you too
This distinction honours us, of course. But more than that, it connects us to you — our loyal and curious guests, our passionate producers, and our dedicated team. It recognises a signature cuisine that embraces life, respect and feeling.
In this traditional cave house in Bonnieux, we wanted to keep things simple, but ever better. Above all, we wanted to keep things authentic.
And today, this star lights our way as we forge ahead with humility, conviction and passion.
Thank you to everyone who is writing this adventure alongside us.
This is by no means an endpoint. It is a new beginning. And it starts here, in Bonnieux.
